Since its successor Microsoft Office 2019 only supports Windows 10 or Windows Server 2019, this is the last edition of MS Office that is companionable with Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2016. The continually licensed edition on Mac OS and Windows was released on 22 nd September 2015. Conventional support ends on 13 th October 2020, and most editions have comprehensive support up to October 14, 2025. Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac Download was released on the Mac Operating system on 9 th July 2015 and on MS Windows on 22 nd September 2015 for Microsoft Office 365 subscribers. Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac Download is a new edition of the MS Office productivity suite, succeeding both Microsoft Office 2013 Filehippo and Office for Mac 2011 and preceding Office 2019 for both.
